Walla Rugby Day

Class:

Hello Everyone,

Wow! What a fantastic day Stages 2 and 3 had on Friday, 15 Aug, for the Walla Rugby event. It was a beautifully sunny day, although not too hot, and it was great to see so many beaming smiles everywhere I looked.

Year 6 have been worked hard putting this event together over the past 5 weeks and, on the day, all that hard work really paid off. Yes! That's right! The Walla Rugby event was totally planned and implemented by our Year 6 students and, as their teacher, I couldn't be prouder of the job they did. We had Stage 3 students from Fairy Meadow Demonstration School and Towradgi Public and their was a definate air of community fun amongst all participants.

We also had a successful and delicious sausage sizzle run by some fantastic parents, to raise funds for the Year 6 farewell. So, thank you to the Khans, Mrs Reid, Mrs Ng and the other parents who helped out. We also had the expert help of Sean Barrett and his team from the ARU, on the day, which made a big contribution to the day's success. So thanks also to them.

I have uploaded some photos from the day and believe the ARU facebook page contain more.

James So.
