Deadly Award Winner

Congratulations to Will T who won the 2017 Deadly Encouragement Award at a recent event hosted by the NIAECG. Will won his award for enthusiasm and commitment to being a self-directed learner. We're all really proud of Will for his effort, his achievement and his love of learning!

Featured Dancer, Southern Stars

Congratulations to Kataraina P, who was selected as a featured dancer in Southern Stars 2017. Southern Stars is a huge event; a music and dance spectacular involving over 3,000 public primary and high school students, performed at Wollongong Entertainment Centre. We're very proud of Kat's achievements!

2017 Tournament of Minds, Regional Champions

Meet our 2017 Tournament of Minds (ToM) team. Congratulations Jessie V, Nick O, Kataraina P, Bellana F, Bridget B, Yadin H and Lucas F for being crowned regional champions in the Engineering/Mathematics ToM Challenge! And now ... onto the State ToM Championships at UNSW.

"Deadly" Award

Lexi P, one of our Aboriginal students, was recognised at the inaugural Northern Illawarra Deadly Awards. Lexi was recognised for a range of things we value highly at MOPS: exceptional attendance, application to learning and kindness to others. Congratulations Lexi! We're very proud!

Young Scientist

  Congratulations to Liam W who was recently awarded equal 1st place in the Science Teachers' Association of NSW Young Scientist Awards, as most promising young scientist. Liam was required to carry out a scientific investigation, or design and construct a working model of an innovative device or application. He conducted an investigation into the flammability of different materials.
