Class iPhoto Book

This week has seen the arrival of our class iPhoto book. The book showcases some of the work that the students have completed over the year. The children are very excited to see their work published in a “real” book.

If you would like to have a look it will be in the classroom for viewing over the next week before being placed in the library for others to read and share.

Enjoy!

Twilight Concert... end of year...

Our end of year concert is fast approaching! Traditionally it has been called the 'Twilight Concert' as it is held in the evening and you can bring a picnic to enjoy on the grass beforehand. Last year we put on a musical based around the computer game Minecraft and it was a big hit. So we've decided to put on another musical this year! This time our theme is 'SPACE' to tie in with our wonderful NASA experience earlier in the year.

K1 is performing something to do with Star Wars... (I'm not giving away any more clues!) :-)

Twitter... "tweet, tweet!"

We are very excited that our class is now using Twitter!

You can find us on Twitter by searching for K1 MtOusley or @MissSinton.

We are connecting with other classes from around the world. We would like to ask them about how they learn and share with them our work and ideas.

As we have been learning about different celebrations this term, we would also like to find out all about the ways they celebrate too!

Look us up and feel free to "follow" us!........ "tweet, tweet!"

Celebrations Galore

Can you believe there are only six more weeks until the end of the school year and seven weeks until Christmas?

K/1 have been celebrating all term as we learn about other festivals and celebrations that are happening around the world.

With Eid, Diwali, Halloween, Melbourne Cup, Hanukkah, Remembrance Day, Kwanzaa, Christmas and many more events taking place around the world at this time of year there is alot to celebrate in K/1.

Shubh Deepavali to all of you!

Busy, busy, busy.

We have had a great start to term 3 and everyone is working hard.

Thank you to everyone who turned up to our open day last week. The students loved sharing some of their favourite learning activities with their families.

We had a visit from Milly the Dog at our pet education session which was an enjoyable and informative  experience for all children (and animals).

Gymsports is also up and running every Friday so don't forget to bring your $4 each week if you haven't already paid for the term.
