Support Programs

Rocket Reading

Rocket Reading is a literacy program aimed at children in the early years of school who require a little extra assistance with reading and writing. Each child has 3 x 1/2  hour lessons per week where they work individually with a teacher or trained parent volunteer. Each lesson follows a structured format that includes reading familiar and new texts, improving sight word recognition, writing and spelling. There is also a small homework component.

Parent Helpers

If any parents are able to come in and help with reading groups it would be greatly appreciated.

Our reading groups are held:

Tuesday 9.10-10.10
Wednesday 9:30- 10:00 and then 10:40-11:30
Thursday 9:30- 10:30

We know everyone is busy so understand if you can’t make it but would be great to see a few of you in the classroom.

Thanks
Miss Fitzpatrick & Mrs Millet

School Attendance

Good attendance at school is one way of ensuring that a child is given every opportunity to succeed.  Patterns of poor attendance, including late arrival at school as well as whole day absences, often lead to under achievement and social concerns.

Parent Teacher Interviews

Thank you to those parents who have already returned their notes for a parent-teacher interview. These interviews will be held after school on Wednesday 7th and Thursday 8th March and a number of timeslots have already been taken. An updated interview note is available below. Please choose 3 times in order of preference and return as soon as possible.

We look forward to meeting with you all soon.
